Sonoma Nail Art, Birchbox and Glossybox

Hey!!!!

Today I have a very full post to KINDA catch up on things. I have a new mani for you plus I also have my Birchbox and Glossybox for September. I really need to cut back on the subscription services because I have too many. But they are so much fun to get. It's like Christmas every month. I can't seem to stop myself from looking ahead to see what I am going to get in my Birchbox, and I like how Glossybox doesn't have that feature. (If it does don't tell me about it because I have no self control). I recently restarted my MyGlam subscription plus I bought two seasons of Loosebutton.
Loosebutton is only one a quarter so I don't feel quite so bad about that.

Onto the stuff!

First I have a Halloween polish from Sonoma Nail Art, this one is called Sincerest Pumpkin Patch. I wanted this in the worst way since I saw some awesome swatches from someone in my polish group. Soooo...when I heard they were going to have a restock I stalked their store. Once 7 p.m. rolled around I kept hitting refresh. When the bottles came up I grabbed this one and checked out as soon as I could. I was afraid that in the time that it took me to log into paypal that someone was going to cart-jack me. There were only 16 bottles of this available when I had first clicked on it. Thankfully, I was able to check out and snag one. Some of the girls weren't so lucky.
During this restock I also grabbed a bottle of Here Lies Robert. I bought this because it kinda reminded me of the Haunted Mansion. I did this as a second transaction because I had checked out already. So, yes I did pay for full shipping on both. I was willing to do that. HOWEVER, imagine my surprise when a couple days later I got a refund from them for the extra shipping. Now that is what I call great customer service. I was totally blown away by this. I highly recommend this shop.

This is four thin coats alone with one coat of Seche Vite. I attempted to get these as true as possible to the color in real life.

As for the Birchbox, I only have one lonely picture of it. But that's all that is really needed for this month. It was a good month for me, no complaints really. There was polish in there, so YAY! Also, another twistband was in there, this time it was a nice lace print on it. I love those things. Ok, so this months box had a sample of the new BVLGARI perfume, Mon Jasmin Noir. I liked it, it was a bit dark for me, but just like the rest of their perfumes, I wore it just fine. There was as previously mentioned, a polish in there. The polish was from Color Club, a custom shade for Birchbox. My shade was called Insta-This. At first glance it appears to be a dupe of Baker St. by Nails Inc. Which works out well for me because I love Baker St. and it would be nice to have a back up of it since I actually use it often. BB cream made another appearance in this box as well. This is the Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm. Haven't tried this yet, slowly working my way through my BB cream samples. Lastly there was a collection of items from LiQWd. My box had three hair care items in it. There was a foil packet of shampoo and condition (this was my lifestyle extra) and a spray tube of volumizing catalyst. As of today I have not tried these either. But perhaps I will soon because I always need volume in my hairs. As a side note, I have been using the Pillow Soft Curls from last months box. I love this product, it really helps my curls and I think I may actually order this product. I was glad to have found it in my box.

Glossybox was a hit for me this September. There were three full size products in the box. First there was a full size BB Cream in there. MISSHA M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 (retail $29.99 for 1.69 oz.). It's a good thing it has such a high SPF in it because I burn so easy so I welcome all the protection I can get. I have worn this for the past couple days and I really like it. The color seems to be ok and not too obnoxiously dark for me. I have a REALLY hard time finding a foundation that matches me. Everything is usually too dark. There was also a full size mettifying gel from OC8 ($30 for 1.6 oz). I have been wearing this under the BB cream and I am really happy with the results. I don't really have a shine problem but it's a good product.

Included in the box was also a full sized lipstick in Glossy Pink. It is too pink for me, but maybe if I layer it over some gloss or lip balm it will be ok. Lastly was a shampoo and conditioner pair from GKHair. NOt much is said on the card about this other than it is supposed to be moisturizing.

I also received my Halloween polished from 2Chix so be on the lookout for those. As I type this, my polish chipped on my thumb so I may be changing it sooner than I thought I was going to. Off to see if I can patch it up...
