Hit Polish Retro Chic and OPI You're Such A Budapest

Good Afternoon!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day, it's kinda chilly up here  but otherwise beautiful.

Today's mani was inspired by someone that I follow on Instagram, punchflavor.  She has got some amazing swatches on her account and you should make sure you go follow her.
I recently saw a mani that she did featuring Orly Bon Bon and Hit Polish Retro Chic.  Once I saw it I knew I had to recreate it.  I almost immediately went and bought Retro Chic  I figured I had something in my stash close to Bon Bon, so I didn't go buy another purple.
When I went to the Hit Polish store on Etsy, they were having a sale....so my purchase of one bottle ended up being six bottles.  Plus every order got a free mini of a celebration polish so I got seven total.
You will most likely be seeing more of those here on the blog.

This has to be one of my most favorite manis to date.  It's not as perfect as the one punchflavor did, but I still love it.

Had my nail not broken today I would have kept on wearing it.

I used three coats of OPI You're Such A Budapest over a coat or Orly Bonder.  That's right three.  I have got to say that this polish has to be the worst one formula wise that I have ever used.  It was like I was applying purple water.  It ended up looking pretty but it was horrible to apply.

I then dabbed two coats of Hit Polish Retro Chic in a reverse gradient, topped by two coats of the glorious HK Girl topcoat.
(If you don't own this, then please rush over to Glisten and Glow and grab a bottle or two.  This stuff is amazing.)

So let's see how my version looked
