OPI Pussy Galore

Good Evening Lovelies!

Tonight I have a polish that has caught some flack from the public.  (Many people are offended by the name!) This is Pussy Galore from the OPI Bond Girl collection.  I have this one and Tiffany Case.  The whole collection is comprised of textured polishes, which OPI calls Liquid Sand.

I am loving the texture trend.  My first one was Zoya London and I now have 5 or 6 of them.  I hope this trend sticks around and we aren't shuddering at them they way a lot of us are at the shatters.

Now about the polish, Pussy Galore is a pink toned polish and it is super pretty in the bottle.  However, on my skin tone it wasn't so awesome.  I have seen swatches on other people and it's pretty.  I'm just not sure if this one is right for me.

Another note about this, is that it took three coats to get it to look halfway decent on me.  I originally had two on there and kept looking at it like something was missing.  Something was, a third coat!  Once I put the third coat on it it looked better.  Coat three darkened it up enough for me to like it.

This mani only lasted me one day though.  After one day of work the tips were so dirty and since it was rough it just stuck on it.

The pictures below are three coats over one coat of Orly Bonder.  It applied well and needed almost no cleanup.

                                         My favorite picture!

OPI can be found at many retailers and online
I bought this with my own hard earned money

  2. Pussy Galore is a fictional character in the Ian Fleming James Bond novel Goldfinger and the later film by the same name. It's not like OPI just made it up. It's a very pretty pale pink.

  3. Well I found that if anyone asks about the color and you feel awkward about saying "it's Pussy Galore" then the easiest answer would be "it's from the OPI Bond Girls collection and this one is Pussy Galore". I would venture to guess that most of the general population is familiar with the Bond movies and with the character Pussy Galore. Whether or not they like the name is a different story, but the extra info may help.
