Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
Today I still have a Foreign Focus Friday for you, but this week it doubles as a swatch and review.
Love Thy Polish is an Australian indie polish brand, I first stumbled upon this brand on Instagram Recently, the lovely Emma, the owner of Love Thy Polish, had a call out for bloggers to review an upcoming collection. I made the cut! I am so excited to show you 5 polishes from this amazing Australian brand. I hope you don't mind a photo heavy post!
I was sent five shades for review. All of these will be available February 15 at 8 am SA time.
First a word about the polishes. I was sent four polishes from the Speckled n' Frecked collection plus one holographic polish. I had no issues with application with any of these. They were all easy to work with. All of the pictures are over a base of Duri Rejuvacote and there is no topcoat on them.
Please note that some of these may not have bottle shots. I was forewarned by Emma that the color of a couple of polishes in the bottle may appear to be a bit muddled and not look true to how it would appear on the nail. The colors I am talking about are Sonic Blueprint and Fauxreal Fuchsia. These are jelly polishes and the bottle doesn't show how it will look. I took pictures of them all with and without the bottle. In reviewing all of them the pictures that were best were the ones without the bottle. Besides you get a clear shot of just the polish on my nails without being distracted by the bottle.
So..... ON TO THE POLISH!
First up is Pink Sands. Pink Sands is a lovely pink creme polish full of the speckled black hex glitter.
Three thin coats alone.
Next up is I Sea Green
I Sea Green is a teal creme full of black hex glitter in multiple sizes. This is three thin coats alone.
Next up is one of the jelly polishes, Sonic Blueprint.
This is also three thin coats alone. Due to it's jelly nature you can still see some nail line. However, if you wanted to avoid that, you could always layer this over another polish.
The last of the Speckled n' Frecked is Fauxreal Fuschia. This color just POPS on the nail. It's such a vibrant magenta jelly. Again, if visible nail line isn't your thing, just layer this over another polish!
Shown three coats on it's own.
Ok, so the last polish is my favorite and it's the holo. If you've been reading this for any amount of time you know that I love LOVE love holographic polishes.
This is Bringin' Sexy Back, and man this is a stunner. It is an orchid holographic polish.
This is also three coats ( I seem to have a thing for doing three coats!) Ahhhh...those rainbows.
So there is the review. I hope you enjoyed this peek at the newest collection from Love Thy Polish.
