Daphine Polish Top Ten Collection - Disc One

Press Sample

Hi there!

I am just going to get straight into the polish today. Because...

You guys.. this collection....is AMAZING!!!!!  I have honestly not been so totally blown away with a collection like this one in a long long time.  This is Disc One of the Top Ten collection from Daphine Polish.  What Joanne did was to take ten of her favorite bands and musicians and create polishes around them.  You can buy them split into two groups, Disc 1 which you will see below and Disc 2 can be seen here Disc 2.  Each Disc is for sale for $46 or you can buy them individually for $10 each.

I honestly loved every single polish that I have here.  No complaints about a single one of them.  She really hit it out of the park with this collection.  I highly suggest that you go over right now and buy one or two.  But first, look at these pictures. I apologize in advance that there are so many, I couldn't narrow some down.

First is Little Black Heart, the inspiration for this was the Sister Hazel song.  Daphine Polish says this is a grey crelly with a slight blue tint. It has blue and silver hex, circle and square glitters, black dots and black hearts.   I have three thin coats shown in these pictures and there was minimal fishing for the hearts.  It seemed like when I wasn't trying to get them that they all came out! I have this over Orly Bonder and topped it with Glisten and Glow HK Girl top coat.  I wore this for a couple days with no chips or tip wear.

This is Drop In the Ocean, according to Daphine Polish this polish is inspired by the Michelle Branch song off of her The Spirit Room album.  Drop In the Ocean is described by Daphine as a bright blue jelly with blue, turquoise and silver holo hex  and square glitter, light green matte dots, and turquoise hearts.  I was afraid that this one was going to be too sheer for me and that I was going to need undies. Surprisingly I didn't need anything under it!  I just used three thin coats and it was the squishy perfection you see below.   I love the brushes that Daphine Polish uses, the handle is the perfect length and the brush is the perfect size for my nails.

I have shown three coats of Drop In the Ocean over Orly Bonder and topped with Glisten and Glow HK Girl topcoat!

I got SO many compliments when I wore this color.  This is Fistful of Rain, which was inspired by a Warren Zevon song.  She describes this as a mint green crelly and it contains violet, turquoise, silver, and matte gray glitters and violet holo dots.  This is such the perfect time to be rocking this with Easter coming up.  It' spring time in a bottle and most people said it looked like spring.  Even if it doesn't feel like spring, I can have it on my nails.

I also used three thin coats for this over Orly Bonder and topped it with Glisten and Glow HK Girl.
I wore this with no issues for a couple days.  I may put it back on for Easter!

This was a surprise hit for me.  This is Bad Moon Rising, everyone knows this CCR song...and now it's stuck in my head!  This is very much a jelly polish crammed full of glitter.  Daphine Polish lists this as a dark pink jelly with black and red holo hex glitters , black holo stars, and red holo moons.

As you can see from the pictures below, there was no fishing for glitter.  There are a ton of the larger glitters on my nails.  I didn't think I was going to like it but I loved it!!!

I used three thin coats to achieve the look I have here.  I topped it all with Glisten and Glow HK Girl topcoat.

Ahhh...my favorite.  You guys know how much I love me some purple polish so I saved the purple for the last.  This is called At the Stars and was inspired by the Better Than Ezra song. This was such a unique polish.  I was surprised by the teal shards in it, which turned out to be so pretty in there.

This is a lavender crelly polish full of silver hex glitter, turquoise holo shreds , silver holo stars, and matte purple stars.  There is also a slight blue shimmer to the polish, which you can see best in the macro shot.

I thought it was going to be a smudge more opaque but I still loved it.  Sad part was, I tested out Yellow Stopper underneath it and the next day it came right off.  Now I know with Yellow Stopper it's supposed to take your polish right off but I wasn't expecting it so soon!!!!

The pictures below are three thin coats topped, of course, with Glisten and Glow HK Girl.

So those are the five polishes that make up Disc 1.  I love them all.  Honestly not a bad one in the bunch.  I may need to save up my money and buy the other half of them. They are that good?

Which one is your favorite??
