Hump Day YEAH!
Hi everyone! I am so happy that this week is on it's way out! Are you??!!?? And in celebration of that let's look at some beautiful fun polish? Sounds like a fun plan to me!
I recently got the newest Magical PixieDust polishes in the mail and I couldn't wait to put them on. I love texture polishes. They always wear so long on me and the actual texture never bothers me.
The newest Magical PixieDust collection consists of three polishes and they have the formula that has holographic glitter in them. Zoya describes the formula as "ultra textured, matte and holographic". In all the photos below I did not use top coat at all, I wanted to show them to you in their intended texture.
First up is Arlo, which Zoya describes as a glittering violet amethyst. This is my favorite out of the bunch. It was also the most pigmented out of the three. I only needed two coats to achieve opacity. This one is more on the purple side of things, but not a true purple. I think it is more of an orchid. I had no issues with the formula and application was fine.
This is Bar, which Zoya called "a glittery nude topaz". This is a sand/tan colored polish. This reminds me of Godiva/Tomoko from the original PixieDust line but with tons more sparkle and all that holographic goodness. It is however, sheer. I used three coats for the photos below. The formula was good, I was able to do the three coats with no fighting with the glitter. So YAY!
Last is Ginni. Zoya describes this as "glittery pink tourmaline". This is a light pink textured polish. It's not super bright, but more like a nice neutral pink, a peachy pink. If that is such a thing. This one was also super sheer. I used three coats here. The same formula as the other two and it didn't give me a hard time when I used three coats, so that was a plus.
I really liked all three of these and I know I will be reaching for them over and over. I already have Arlo on my toes!!! If you liked the classic PixieDusts but wanted a little more oomph, then go pick up some of these. You won't be disappointed. But please note that mine took quite a bit of time to dry, so give yourself enough time after you paint them for them to dry!
