YAY for Friday!!!

Hi everyone!  I hope that your week went well.  I am glad that my week is over as hockey season starts tomorrow and I can't wait to go to the first game (local college team)! Anyone else a hockey fan?

Todays post is something a bit different for me.  I actually attempted to recreate a look.  Thankfully this is the easiest look to recreate known to man LOL.

Madeline Poole is a manicurist and Global Color Ambassador for Sally Hansen  (read more about her here: http://mpnails.com)   For the Summer 2015 show for Stella McCartney she created a look featuring a matte nude manicure.

In order to achieve this look she used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Almost Almond and topped it with Big Matte Topcoat also from Sally Hansen.

In order to recreate this nude look I started out with three thin coats of Almost Almond. Almost Almond is a light light shimmery tan polish.  Once that was dry I used one coat of Big Matte Topcoat and the manicure was done.  The directions on the topcoat do say to wait until you color is dry and also to use one coat.

This look is actually very pretty and I like it a lot.  I was afraid the color was going to just look like my skin and leave me with strange looking fingers.  To me there is enough contrast to where is turns out to be a nice dainty look.

What do you think, would you rock the matte nude manicure??
